Scoring rules

Every rule on the platform

Organisers build a leaderboard by switching some of these on and setting their values. Nothing is on by default, and only the rules an organiser picks will pay points.

New to this? Start with how leaderboards work

Downloads include all 43 rules, whatever you filter to below.

  • Points by finishing position

    Adds pointsScales with tierExclusive

Awards points based on where a player finished, using bands you define. This is the backbone of most leaderboards: 1st gets the most, and each band below it gets progressively less.

    With bands 1st=400, 2nd=300, 3rd-4th=200, 5th-8th=150, a semi-final exit pays 200 points.

  • Points by finishing percentile

    Adds pointsScales with tierExclusive

Awards points based on finishing in the top X% of the field, so a 3rd-place finish in an 8-player event and a 12th-place finish in a 64-player event can be treated similarly.

    With bands top 10%=400, top 25%=200, top 50%=100, finishing 4th of 32 (12.5%) pays 200.

  • Points for how far a player got

    Adds pointsScales with tierExclusive

Awards points for the deepest stage a player reached, so a quarter-final run is worth something even without a podium finish. Set a value for any stage you care about and leave the rest blank.

With quarter-final=50 and semi-final=120, a player knocked out in the semis earns 120 points.

    Scales pointsExclusive

Makes a win against 64 players worth more than a win against 8, without the creator having to hand-tier every event. Choose fixed bands, or a smooth curve relative to a baseline field size. On the curve, a field smaller than the baseline pays proportionally less, so pick a baseline close to your usual turnout.

In curve mode with a baseline of 16, a 32-player event pays ×1.25 and a 64-player event pays ×1.5, while an 8-player event pays ×0.75.
